*Free Voice Roaming shall apply to calls made or received by a SIMBA subscriber between destinations where VoLTE calls under the subscriber's SIMBA mobile plan are both free, and such VoLTE calls are made or received while they are outside of Singapore and/or using their SIMBA mobile plan on a roaming basis in a destination or jurisdiction where SIMBA's preferred roaming partner supports VoLTE, subject always to the minutes quota of the relevant mobile plan. Prevailing IDD rates will be applicable to all calls made to destinations and jurisdictions that are not stated in the relevant mobile plan's free minute quota. The SIMBA subscriber's mobile device must be VoLTE enabled in order to make or receive VoLTE calls.

Roaming FAQs

How do I activate SIMBA Roaming?

Every SIMBA Mobile Plan comes with a roaming data allowance and Free rollover of unused roaming data. No separate application or activation is required to use Roaming. Simply enable Data Roaming in your device setting before travelling. Your SIMBA SIM will automatically connect to preferred local network operator(s) once you arrive at your destination.

Does SIMBA Roaming cover voice calls and SMS?

Yes, SIMBA Roaming covers voice calls and SMS. Voice Calls* SIMBA customers can make and receive calls in VoLTE-supported destinations without any additional roaming charges. Standard plan allowances and IDD charges may still apply. You will no longer need to reject incoming calls when you are travelling abroad with SIMBA.

Incoming Calls: Incoming calls from any number are free with SIMBA Roaming.
Outgoing Calls to Singapore: Outgoing calls to Singapore mobile numbers are free. Outgoing calls to Singapore fixed-line numbers will be deducted from your mobile plan’s SG mins allowance. (Please ensure that you include +65 before the number when you are calling Singapore while roaming)
Outgoing calls to other destinations: Outgoing calls to local numbers at your visited destination or to numbers in other destinations will be deducted from your SIMBA mobile plan’s IDD Minutes allowance. Outgoing calls to any destinations not covered by your SIMBA mobile plan’s IDD Minute allowance will be charged to your SIMBA Wallet at the prevailing IDD rates.

Incoming SMS are free.
Outgoing SMS are free to Singapore mobile numbers and charged at 0.10 each for international numbers in VoLTE supported roaming destinations.

* A VoLTE-compatible device is required to use voice and SMS services while roaming. VoLTE supported handsets are listed here.

Why is my data roaming not working?

Ensure that Data Roaming is enabled in your device settings and check that your device Access Point Name (APN) is set to internet.
Check that your device is connected to SIMBA Roaming’s Preferred Local Mobile Operators.
If you are in a destination that is not covered by SIMBA mobile plan’s roaming data allowance or if you have used up all your roaming data allowance, ensure that your SIMBA Wallet has sufficient balance. Pay-per-use roaming charges will be deducted from your SIMBA Wallet.

You may top up your SIMBA Wallet online, via My SIMBA App or walk-in to any SIMBA dealers islandwide.

What are SIMBA's Roaming pay-per-use roaming charges?

Pay-per-use roaming charges are deducted from your SIMBA Wallet in 10MB blocks.
